Meet the Maker
When I was 4, I had a lamb. He loved to play with me like I was another lamb. We were best friends.
15 years later, I wanted a pendant to have in memory of him. I asked my dad if he woukd help me cast one into silver and he said yes! He was not a jeweler, but worked with many tools that could be used for jeweler. So, I created a lamb from wax and we casted it together.
12 years after creating that lamb, my now husband said to me, “I want a new chain” (meaning for us to go buy one) but I said in my head that I would make him one! That night, I ordered my first soldering kit and began my journey learning how to Metalsmith.
(This is him and I at my very first maker’s market 🫶🏼)
My hope is that someone who looks at my jewelry would never know I was self taught and haven’t been professionally trained. My hope is that my jewelry is worn for generations and is passed down as heirlooms. My goal is that my jewelry is used as a symbol of love and people start their lives together with it.
